Chesterfield supporters have been told thy must find £500,000 by December to save the club.
The club, currently owned by a fans consortium, faces a race against time to stop the club from being wound up.
Chesterfield's latest financial crisis comes after Chesterfield Borough Council refused to loan the football club £1m.
Creditors have given them until December to come up with the funding to take the club out of administration and to satisfy the Football League that the club can fulfil its fixtures.
The CFSS plan to launch a special share offer to give its 3,300 members and shareholders a chance to raise the cash and save the club.
